MicraCulture is a micra-business, owned and operated by Dr. Sarah Pellkofer in Seattle, Washington since 2015!
Sarah conceived the idea for MicraCulture during her PhD work, studying how the living things in soil affect plants and environment. She found, after running years of experiments, that by adding specific species of fungi and bacteria to the soil (ones that are present in healthy, natural soil, but are often absent in manicured gardens), plants grew better, used water more efficiently, they were protected from harmful pathogens and disease, and even the amount of soil pollutants was reduced! Sarah knew that she had to start a business to give the benefits of soil microbes to everyday gardeners and help bring the soil back to life, one yard at a time. She created the proprietary soil additive, Plant Probiotics, that is packed full of natural and native fungi and bacteria, plus some key soil nutrients. Sarah and her team of scientists handcraft all orders in Seattle and constantly test Plant Probiotics to ensure only the highest quality soil microbes make it into your garden.
